Scandia's receiving, quality and shop supervisory personnel are trained in the proper handling, labeling and
segregation of the critical and unique materials often utilized on government contracts including:
(1) Government Furnished Material: The area is closely monitored by the DCMAO Government Property department,
and we have the systems in place to maintain all of the necessary receipt, contract, and issue documentation in
accordance with their requirements.
(2) SUBSAFE/Level 1 material: There is shelving in receiving that is 100% dedicated to SUBSAFE/Level 1
material to prevent the possibility of mingling it with other production materials. There is also 100% dedicated
shelving for the storage and protection of SUBSAFE/Level 1 finished parts.
(3) Non-conforming materials: Scandia has a completely enclosed and locked storage area for the storage of
non-conforming materials until their final disposition is determined. It is monitored by DCMAO Baltimore.
